Campaign Missions

Battlefield 6's campaign has nine missions, from Always Faithful in Georgia to Always Forward in Tajikistan. This page lists each one in order with its place, date, objectives, trophies and rewards, and tips for each.

Battlefield 6's campaign runs through nine missions in a fixed order: Always Faithful, The Rock, Operation Gladius, Night Raid, No Sleep, Moving Mountains, Nile Guard, Operation Ember Strike and Always Forward. The names and order agree across PCGamesN (updated Oct 13, 2025) and Shacknews (Oct 11, 2025); the in-game dates and places come from GameRant's timeline. Most missions are briefed like the one above, from MKIceAndFire's Oct 10, 2025 run: the CIA's Melissa Mills lays out phased objectives and Dagger 13 drops in to clear the way for a larger force. The campaign as a whole is on Campaign; the plot with every twist is on Campaign Story and Ending.

Spoiler note: the mission summaries below say what you do in each level. The two sections that reveal deaths and the ending are marked at their top.

Dates and places: GameRant; Shacknews. The campaign's final scene, an epilogue on Sep 23, 2028, follows mission 9 (GameRant).

1. Always Faithful

Georgia, Sep 17, 2027. As Gunnery Sergeant Dylan Murphy of the Marine Raiders, you are at a NATO base the alliance is handing to Pax Armata when Pax attacks early. The squad survives the first assault, tries to secure sensitive data, marks three tanks for an air strike, and ends up wiring C-4 to two pillars in a server room, because destroying the data is the only way to keep it from Pax. It ends with a stand at the helicopter evac (Shacknews; GameRant).

In MKIceAndFire's run, the turn comes after the air strike: with Pax jets overhead the squad cannot evacuate the servers, so the order becomes to destroy them before Pax compromises NATO, with "enough C4 to take out site 2".

  • Tip: The laser designator section is the game teaching you the Recon's spotting role; hold the laser on each target until it confirms.
  • Trophies: Stand Alone for finishing it; the hidden End of an Era for finding a dinosaur figurine (MP1st, Oct 1, 2025).
  • Rewards: Infiltrator title for finishing; Dead Center dog tag for all its collectibles (NME, Oct 12, 2025).

2. The Rock

Gibraltar, Mar 20, 2028. As Gecko, the squad's Recon, you give sniper support to the British squad Lancer: clearing gatehouses and gun positions, then moving through tunnels in a World War II museum to Governor's battery, destroying the anti-aircraft guns and signaling the fleet (Shacknews; GameRant). The briefing at the top of this page is this mission's: link up with Lancer, cover them while they neutralize a radar, then take out Pax's anti-air defense so phase three can land.

  • Tip: It is a sniping mission first. Stay high, clear the machine-gun nest when Lancer calls for it, and let Lancer push.
  • Trophies: Rock of Gibraltar after this and Operation Gladius; the hidden Efficiency for shooting 10 mannequins (MP1st).
  • Rewards: Standard Issue character item; Danger Ahead for all collectibles (NME).

3. Operation Gladius

Gibraltar, March 2028. A beach landing: from a boat you shoot sea mines with a mounted gun, storm the beach, then fight up through the streets beside a friendly tank to City Hall. Pax's commander Alexander Kincaid escapes (Shacknews; GameRant).

In MKIceAndFire's run, the specialized skills officer sends Carter and Gecko toward Old Town while Murphy and Lopez join the beach landing from a ship offshore, with intelligence placing a Pax commander at the target.

IGN called the landing the campaign's "own version of a Normandy landing as you storm a Gibraltar beach", and one of its attempts to match Call of Duty set pieces.

  • Tip: Shoot every floating mine you see from the boat: three of them is the hidden Deep-Six trophy (MP1st).
  • Rewards: Raging Waters background; Elite Raider icon for all collectibles (NME).

4. Night Raid

Cairo, Egypt, Jun 5, 2028. A night stealth mission with Egyptian special forces: through sewers and streets to a palace where you must extract Fayek Salim, CEO of a biometrics company. It goes wrong. Salim dies, but his finger still holds the data, which reveals a Pax plan against Brooklyn. The mission ends in a fight through a souk and a helicopter you must bring down with three rocket hits (Shacknews; GameRant).

The plan, as Carter gives it to Mills in MKIceAndFire's run: go over the compound walls, cut the power and secure the asset, with Mills insisting the intel is the priority. The squad then kills the lights at the breaker and sweeps the building floor by floor.

  • Tip: Stay low and take isolated patrols quietly until the power cut; after it, the fight is loud anyway. For the helicopter, the squad points you to a munitions stash in a two-story building on the plaza, where MKIceAndFire picks up an unguided launcher.
  • Trophies: Devil in the Dark for finishing; Sidearm Savant for finishing it with only pistols, knives or gadgets (MP1st).
  • Rewards: Standard Issue; Urban Sprawl skin for all collectibles (NME).

5. No Sleep

Brooklyn, Jun 14, 2028. Dagger 13 raids Pax's Brooklyn headquarters, then chases an armored train carrying missile coordinates for an attack by a US warship that Pax has turned, the Artemis. The train is bombed on a bridge, and Carter disables most of the missiles (Shacknews; GameRant).

In the headquarters the squad finds Kincaid's war room and learns the plan: Pax planted a mole on the Artemis and means to use her missiles against New York, starting with the power grid, then bridges, tunnels and Midtown.

IGN's reviewer named the bridge sequence his "particular highlight" of the campaign, visually if not in what it asks you to do.

  • Trophies: Secret Service after this and Moving Mountains; Looks Like A Nail for five sledgehammer kills in this mission (MP1st).
  • Rewards: Home Invasion background; Gridlock skin for all collectibles (NME).

6. Moving Mountains

Spoiler: this section reveals a main character's death.

New York, Jun 15, 2028. Pax attacks President Fernandez's motorcade, and Dagger 13 must get him out: a fire station, a drone hunt with Gecko in Prospect Park, subway tunnels and the Empire Fulton forward base. At the end, Kincaid stabs Carter to death (Shacknews; GameRant).

The squad reaches the president with John Rossetti, head of his protective detail, in MKIceAndFire's run; Fernandez tells them he cannot coordinate with the Joint Chiefs until he is clear, so Brooklyn cannot be saved until they get him out.

  • Tip: Gecko leads the drone hunt in Prospect Park (Shacknews), and the squad then moves through subway tunnels to the Empire Fulton base.
  • Trophies: Bullseye Blitz for six headshots in a row in this mission (MP1st).
  • Rewards: Shield Bearer title; Career XP Booster for all collectibles (NME).

7. Nile Guard

Egypt, Jul 30, 2028. The tank mission. You play Ibrahim Al-Khatib of Egypt's Unit 777, the officer who guided Dagger 13 in Night Raid, retaking Cairo: armor fights on a highway and a bridge, collapsing the pillars of a bazaar, rescuing Captain Yasta and pulling a pilot from a downed helicopter (Shacknews; GameRant).

It opens with Al-Khatib's speech to his men: they go to war not for a foreign power or riches but to take their country back from the mercenaries, before the column rolls with helicopter support toward an overpass Pax holds.

  • Tip: Bring the overpass down on a Pax tank for the Roadside Assistance trophy (MP1st).
  • Trophies: High Roller for finishing.
  • Rewards: Standard Issue; Canopy Drop vehicle camo for all collectibles (NME).

8. Operation Ember Strike

Tajikistan, Sep 19, 2028. The one wide-open level. As Gecko, with a drone and Hemlock's guided mortar, you destroy the SAM sites Alpha, Bravo and Charlie in any order, using an ATV or armored trucks to move between them, and the mission ends with a huge dam destroyed (Shacknews; GameRant).

The idea, as the squad plans it in MKIceAndFire's run: knock out the data links, and the SAMs that talk to them go dark, "creating a black hole" for NATO's air support. When the network reboots anyway, Murphy's answer is to blow the dam.

IGN liked the open area in theory and called the result "a thin veneer of choice", with the tools limited to a drone, ATVs and armored trucks. Digital Foundry singled out the same mission as the campaign's only real exception to its corridors.

  • Tip: Scout each site with the drone before driving in; spotting 20 enemies with it earns Being Watched (MP1st).
  • Trophies: Damned If You Do for finishing.
  • Rewards: Standard Issue; Gridlock skin for all collectibles (NME).

9. Always Forward

Spoiler: this section reveals the campaign's final twist.

Tajikistan, Sep 20, 2028. NATO storms Pax's main base. You knock out the NXC hypersonic missile sites, bring down a jet with an anti-air launcher, and push into the bunker. There Kincaid reveals that Mills and the CIA created Pax to give NATO a common enemy; Hemlock shoots him as he reaches for his knife, Mills orders the bunker bombed, and Dagger 13 escapes by helicopter (Shacknews; GameRant).

The briefing in MKIceAndFire's run: four hypersonic missiles, each with an NXC warhead, which could reach mainland Europe within 30 minutes, and a Pax outpost, vehicle depots and supplies to hit on the way to the base.

  • Tip: Downing a helicopter with a tank here earns No Reinforcements (MP1st). Digital Foundry noted the final mission gives "somewhat larger gameplay spaces", so there is room to work around the silos.
  • Trophies: Cloak and Dagger for finishing the campaign.
  • Rewards: Bighorn HK-16 melee weapon and the Carnivore RPKM weapon package; Urban Sprawl skin for all collectibles (NME).

Dog tags across the missions

There are 30 dog tags in all, and every mission's full set pays a reward (NME). Collectible trophies unlock at 1, 5, 10 and 20 tags, and Pack Leader for all 30 (MP1st). The simplest plan is to play the story once for the story and then go back with a guide for the tags you missed. Every trophy is listed on Achievements and Trophies.

Which missions are the best?

We think No Sleep and Operation Ember Strike are the two worth replaying: No Sleep for the bridge, which IGN also picked out, and Ember Strike because it is the only level where you choose your own route, the closest the campaign comes to Battlefield's multiplayer. We think The Rock is the weakest, a sniper gallery in tunnels that, going by Steam's achievement rates on Campaign, is where the largest share of players stop. Moving Mountains carries the story's biggest moment, and Nile Guard is the only tank mission, which makes it the best warm-up for Tanks and Ground Vehicles online.
