Saints Quarter

Saints Quarter is Battlefield 6's smallest map, an infantry-only street fight around a fountain in Gibraltar's Old Town. It runs only the close-quarters modes, such as Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination and King of the Hill, with 16 players.

Saints Quarter is Battlefield 6's smallest map: a close-quarters map "designed for fast-paced infantry-only fights", set around a fountain flanked by destructible buildings in Gibraltar's Old Town. EA showed it with the Domination Combat Zone Contact Shot. GravityBFTV, in the Saints Quarter episode of his series on Battlefield maps (Apr 28, 2026), goes further: it is the smallest map not only in Battlefield 6 but in the whole series, closest to Battlefield 3's Close Quarters map Donya Fortress. It is also the reason some players never see it: it is not in Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush or Escalation.

Why it works

GravityBFTV credits three things: structure, game modes and intent. Alleys and level changes give a tiny map a lot of playable space, and the paths wrap around it like a web, usually meeting at three-way junctions, so you are rarely caught from a side you could not have watched. Only two buildings matter, and the one tall building in the center cannot control the flow on its own.

The second reason is the player count. Saints Quarter supports only the smallest modes, all limited to 16 players, so it never has the body-blocking and grenade spam that ruined crowded small maps in older games. To find it, pick those close-quarters modes from the main playlist or tick them in the custom filter. See Infantry Modes.

A tour of the map

Main Street, south. The longest road on the map, with a van parked in front of the fountain to block sightlines. Domination and King of the Hill put an objective here. Four paths reach the road, and you can jump up to the raised fountain square, which gives cover to whoever holds it and is wide open to fire from across the street.

The central house. A three-story building with one decorated apartment per floor, and the only rooftop on the map you can stand on. The roof sees the fountain and the northern alley but has a gas tank on its edge that can blow much of it away. The ground-floor kitchen is a King of the Hill objective. Campers hold it with C4, claymores and deployable cover on the stairs.

The canal, west. A drainage canal runs past a walkway and under a small bridge. GravityBFTV says it is officially known as Blocks, and Domination and King of the Hill put a point here. The slope gives a long sightline from the upper edge, and a crack in the concrete wall up top makes a protected firing spot. A garden wall by the stairs can be jumped for a sneaky way in.

The north streets. No objective, but two of the main spawn areas sit here, and the roads link to every fight. The northernmost alley, steep up and down, is the key flanking route.

The plaza, east. An open space around a large tree, on four tiers, reached by at least four paths. It takes a whole team to watch every approach, so it changes hands often. Watch the central house's windows when you climb the stairs west.

Destruction

For its size, a lot breaks. The central house can lose its front facade, exposing players inside, and its roof can be shattered by explosives or by the gas canister. Elsewhere, destruction comes in predictable places. Update 1.1.3.0 (Dec 5, 2025) also extended the rooftop out-of-bounds areas on Saints Quarter, with Empire State and Manhattan Bridge, to stop players reaching roofs they should not, and fixed its loading screen's Combat Zone text. See Destruction.

The spawn problem

Spawns are the map's one big flaw. In Team Deathmatch and Domination enemies are always near, and in King of the Hill the spawn areas become known: sometimes you spawn into the whole enemy team, sometimes beside an enemy, sometimes behind them. GravityBFTV calls this "by far the greatest point of frustration", followed by claymores in narrow passages and shotguns at corners.

Not everyone likes it

CrafterOfSwords (Oct 12, 2025) called it "basically a Call of Duty map": beautiful, reminiscent of Battlefield 5's Provence, but in Domination and Team Deathmatch his team piled into one lane, and players hid in bushes with shotguns or in high windows with LMGs. He wished for another medium or large Gibraltar map instead. His tip, if you do play it: a shotgun or SMG and your head on a swivel.

GravityBFTV answers the most common request, a larger Saints Quarter for Conquest, by pointing out that it already exists: a scaled-up Saints Quarter "literally becomes Iberian Offensive". He uses the map to level new weapons and to warm up, because fights are short and constant.

How it looks

Digital Foundry's review (Oct 9, 2025) named Saints Quarter and Mirak Valley as the foliage-rich maps that look best in multiplayer.

IGN's review (Oct 16, 2025) called its crowded streets "perfect for close quarters action".

Tips

  • Use a shotgun or SMG; the long sightlines are only on Main Street and down the canal. See Shotguns and Pistols and SMGs.
  • Do not camp the central house for long: its facade and roof come down, and three entrances plus the ground-floor windows let attackers in.
  • Watch the three-way junctions instead of single corridors; the web of paths means enemies come from the side, not the front.
  • In King of the Hill, expect the spawns to flip when your team crowds one corner.

What we think

We think Saints Quarter is the best small map Battlefield has made, because it is built for 16 players instead of being a 64-player map squeezed into a small space. We also think it is the map most players will never open, because it sits outside the default All-Out Warfare playlists; we expect EA to keep it in its rotating infantry playlists rather than build it into larger modes. In our view the spawn logic is the one thing worth a patch.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I find Saints Quarter in Conquest?

It is too small. It runs only Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, Domination and King of the Hill, so choose one of those modes or the close-quarters playlist, as of Nov 8, 2026.

Is Saints Quarter the smallest Battlefield map?

It is the smallest in Battlefield 6, and GravityBFTV argues it is the smallest in the series, closest in size to Battlefield 3's Donya Fortress.

Does Saints Quarter have vehicles?

No. It is infantry-only, like Empire State.

What is the best weapon for Saints Quarter?

Close-range guns. Creators point to shotguns and SMGs; see Best Loadouts for the current picks.
