Eastwood

Eastwood is a Battlefield 6 map set in a wealthy Southern California suburb with villas, pools and a golf course, added on Nov 18, 2025 with Season 1's California Resistance. It has five Conquest points around a destructible clubhouse, tanks and helicopters but no jets, and drivable golf carts.

Eastwood is a Battlefield 6 map set in a suburban villa area where pools and private golf courses have become a battlefield, added on Nov 18, 2025 with Season 1's California Resistance update. It supports every combat size with land vehicles and helicopters, and it is the map where you can drive a golf cart past the fairway markers and sprinklers, as jackfrags did at EA's preview. Westie called it the game's best map on launch day. Every fact below is as of Nov 8, 2026.

Quick facts

Added Season 1 California Resistance, Nov 18, 2025
Preview name Golden State
Setting Affluent suburb and country club, Southern California
Conquest points Five (A to E), with C at the clubhouse
Vehicles Tanks, transports, attack and transport helicopters, golf carts; no jets
Battle pickups Arrived in the same update (a minigun among them)

Where it is and how it is laid out

Eastwood is a rich suburb of Los Angeles, built around a country club with tennis courts, swimming pools, service buildings and a large central clubhouse. A few golf holes stretch toward the map's edges. EA showed it to creators in October 2025 under the name Golden State, and Westie's preview called it possibly the best-looking map in the game.

The houses are dense enough to feel claustrophobic in places, then the map opens up for longer fights. Wider roads link the capture points, which lets vehicles cut off infantry moving between them, while the cover lets infantry slip away from a tank and come back at another angle.

In Westie's launch-day matches the fight kept returning to Charlie in the middle, with big vehicle lanes around the outside, the golf course on one flank and helicopters above. "It's not what I would consider an urban map," he said, but everything sits close together in pockets where infantry and vehicles mix. His first match turned because the enemy held D and E all game, which gave them sightlines down onto the opening at Charlie.

Points by mode

  • Conquest has five points (Conquest). Charlie (C) is the clubhouse, the center of the map. Delta (D) is part of the clubhouse grounds on the golf course side, and Alpha (A) is a house staging area at the edge, as Westie found them on launch day.
  • Escalation and Breakthrough run here too; jackfrags played Escalation on it at EA's preview (Escalation, Breakthrough).
  • The Season 1 free trial (Nov 25 to Dec 2, 2025) used Eastwood for Initiation Breakthrough, with bots.

Delta, on the golf course side of the clubhouse, is more open than Charlie. In Westie's match an enemy tank pushed onto it while a helicopter strafed, and the fight there is as much about armor as infantry.

Vehicles: golf carts, tanks and no jets

jackfrags found "every vehicle except jets" on the map, including the then-new Traverser Mark 2 transport, and then the golf cart: "If you played Bad Company, you're going to feel a bit of nostalgia." The cart has a horn, leaves tire marks on the greens, and runs past working sprinklers and fairway markers. EA's name for it is the Turfpro, a four-seat cart that cannot mount weapons, so passengers defend it.

The Traverser fits through a house: jackfrags drove one into a living room and the walls crumbled around it. It has four gunner seats and an integrated med bay. Air is limited to the attack and transport helicopters, which Westie thought kept the fighting grounded, and helicopter pilots have hills and dips to hide behind while they repair (Vehicles, Helicopters).

Destruction

Almost every building can be smashed open, from the outer houses and service buildings to the clubhouse. Westie, fighting over the clubhouse with a minigun battle pickup on launch day, noted "I forgot how much of this clubhouse you can destroy" as walls came down around him. Later in his match he climbed onto a roof with an Assault ladder placed on the rubble (Destruction, Assault).

An early bug where the lighting went black after destruction was fixed in Update 1.1.3.6 on Feb 3, 2026.

Tips for each side

  • Hold Charlie with more than one squad. It is the most contested point, and its rooms and balconies hide defenders; bring explosives to open new entrances.
  • Take D and E together. Holding both gives sightlines onto Charlie, as Westie's lost match showed.
  • Use the golf course to flank. Kotaku's Zack Zwiezen saw teammates flank across it and assault the clubhouse in golf carts. Watch for snipers around the clubhouse.
  • Grab the battle pickups. The minigun spawns at marked drops; it pulls your aim down hard, so use it at close range.
  • Tanks: the roads are yours, but houses on both sides hide Engineers (Engineer).

Reception

Creators and press liked it from the first match. jackfrags praised the detailed interiors (a barbecue, a pool, card tables left mid-game in the clubhouse). Westie gave his preview video's verdict that it "sets the true standard" for seasonal maps. Kotaku said it was "so good I can't stop playing it" on Nov 19, 2025, and that matches feel like several smaller battles on different mini-maps.

What we think

We think Eastwood is the template for Battlefield 6's best maps: a real place people recognize, five points instead of seven, no jets, and buildings you can take apart. It is small by older Battlefield standards, but the variety of houses, course and clubhouse makes it feel bigger than Blackwell Fields, which used the same region three weeks earlier and had none of it. We expect EA to put Eastwood in its permanent rotations and to reuse its suburb pieces for the next California map, more likely than a rework.
