Steam Player Count
Battlefield 6 had 43,714 people playing on Steam at 20:00 UTC on Nov 7, 2026, per SteamDB, against an all-time Steam peak of 747,440 on its launch day, Oct 10, 2025. Since Season 2 its daily peaks have averaged about 51,000 to 54,000 a season, and every new season lifts them for about two weeks.
Battlefield 6 had 43,714 people playing on Steam at 20:00 UTC on Nov 7, 2026, per SteamDB, against an all-time Steam peak of 747,440 on its launch day, Oct 10, 2025. That is about 6% of the launch peak, a little over a year later. Steam's count covers only one store: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, the EA app and the Epic Games Store are not in it, and EA publishes no daily count across platforms.

How many people play Battlefield 6?
On Steam, between about 12,000 and 47,000 at once in the first week of November 2026, depending on the hour. SteamDB's hourly data for Oct 31 to Nov 7, 2026 shows the count falling to 12,384 in the quietest hour of Nov 5 and rising to 47,247 at the busiest hour of Nov 1, a Sunday. Weekends run higher than weekdays: the four weekday peaks of Nov 2 to Nov 5 were all between 30,986 and 38,558. The real number of people playing is larger, since consoles are not counted, but no source gives it: EA has not published a concurrent player figure across platforms since launch, when it said only that Battlefield 6 had the most concurrent players in Battlefield history, with no number. Sales are on Sales.
How many play on PlayStation?
The only recent console figure we have found came from a PlayStation test widget, not from EA. In jackfrags' May 17, 2026 video, a beta version of the PS5 home screen showed the week's most played games in the US, and Battlefield 6 was ninth with 1.51 million players on PS5 in that week. That is unique players over a week, a different measure from Steam's players at once: jackfrags noted that the same afternoon Steam showed 69,498 playing, and SteamDB's daily peak for May 17, 2026 was 77,922. He also pointed out that EA app players on PC, where he plays himself, are counted nowhere.
The same widget put Call of Duty fourth with 4.95 million US PlayStation players that week, about 3.3 times Battlefield 6's number, and Fortnite first with 14.6 million. We think the PS5 figure is the best evidence that Steam understates Battlefield 6's audience: on the one platform where a weekly count leaked out, it was a top 10 game eight months after launch, while Steam showed under 80,000 at the daily peak.
Is Battlefield 6 dead?
No. We think "dead" is the wrong word for a game whose quietest day in the last year still had 33,019 people on Steam at its peak, and which got a new season on Oct 13, 2026 with another phase due on Nov 10. It is far below its launch, though: the daily peak fell under 100,000 for the first time on Dec 24, 2025, at 83,650, and has stayed under 100,000 every day since Jan 11, 2026. Dexerto described Steam concurrents falling from the 747,440 peak to the tens of thousands when it reported the Battlefield studio layoffs on Mar 9, 2026. Enders, a daily Battlefield streamer, said in his Oct 10, 2026 one-year review that most players were gone three to four months in, and SteamDB's figures agree on the timing. What happened since is less a decline than a plateau: the average daily peak was 54,292 in Season 2 and 52,596 in Season 5, almost the same.
The launch and the record
The open beta set the first record. In Aug 2025 Battlefield 6's beta reached 521,079 players at once on Steam, above Call of Duty's best Steam peak of 491,670, and more than any Battlefield had reached on Steam. The full game then reached 747,440 on Oct 10, 2025, launch day, which PC Gamer placed in Steam's all-time top 20. VGC reported it as EA's highest ever concurrent count on Steam, beating Apex Legends' 624,473. EA said the game sold over 7 million copies in three days (Sales); the launch itself is on Release Date and Launch.
REDSEC, the free battle royale, arrived with Season 1 on Oct 28, 2025, and Windows Central reported the Steam count passing 500,000 again that afternoon. SteamDB's daily peaks begin on Nov 1, 2025, and the first weekend of November was the best of them: 535,940 on Nov 1 and 564,239 on Nov 2. REDSEC's achievements sit in the same Steam app, 2807960, as Battlefield 6's (Achievements and Trophies), so we read Steam's count as covering both; nothing in SteamDB's chart separates them.
Daily peaks by month
Each row is Vi.ki's own reading of SteamDB's daily peaks for that month: the best day, the average of the daily peaks, and the worst day. October 2025 is SteamDB's single monthly figure (the launch peak).
| Month | Best day | Average daily peak | Worst day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct 2025 | 747,440 | (one monthly point) | |
| Nov 2025 | 564,239 | 300,568 | 194,380 |
| Dec 2025 | 185,032 | 128,885 | 83,650 |
| Jan 2026 | 124,134 | 85,274 | 60,142 |
| Feb 2026 | 96,079 | 67,090 | 50,054 |
| Mar 2026 | 72,846 | 55,509 | 45,684 |
| Apr 2026 | 60,651 | 47,052 | 38,310 |
| May 2026 | 80,320 | 54,232 | 41,455 |
| Jun 2026 | 65,984 | 47,917 | 39,664 |
| Jul 2026 | 84,327 | 56,509 | 40,142 |
| Aug 2026 | 80,261 | 59,399 | 47,504 |
| Sep 2026 | 60,089 | 43,890 | 34,050 |
| Oct 2026 (to Oct 30) | 76,774 | 47,131 | 33,019 |
The steepest fall came in the first three months: the average daily peak lost more than half from November to December, and a third again from December to January. From March 2026 the monthly averages sit between about 44,000 and 59,000, with the summer months (Season 4's Naval Warfare and Wake Island) the strongest and September 2026 the weakest. Read with Seasons.
Players by season
Vi.ki's own sums of SteamDB's daily peaks for each season. Season 1's figures start on Nov 1, 2025, where SteamDB's daily points start, so they leave out its first four days. Season 5's run to Oct 30, 2026, the last daily point read.
| Season | Days counted | Average daily peak | Median | Best day | Worst day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Season 1 (Oct 28, 2025 to Feb 17, 2026) | 108 | 153,983 | 113,238 | 564,239 (Nov 2, 2025) | 50,054 (Feb 11, 2026) |
| Season 2 (Feb 17 to May 12, 2026) | 84 | 54,292 | 52,121 | 96,079 (Feb 22, 2026) | 38,310 (Apr 8, 2026) |
| Season 3 (May 12 to Jul 21, 2026) | 70 | 51,125 | 49,002 | 80,320 (May 12, 2026) | 39,664 (Jun 25, 2026) |
| Season 4 (Jul 21 to Oct 13, 2026) | 84 | 52,298 | 50,786 | 84,327 (Jul 26, 2026) | 33,019 (Oct 1, 2026) |
| Season 5 (from Oct 13, 2026) | 18 | 52,596 | 52,709 | 76,774 (Oct 18, 2026) | 36,765 (Oct 29, 2026) |
Season 1 stands alone because it held the launch crowd and the end of 2025. From Season 2 on, the four seasons are within 3,200 of one another on average, which is the clearest thing these numbers say: Battlefield 6 found a steady Steam audience of roughly 50,000 at the daily peak in Feb 2026 and has kept it since.
What each new season does to the count
Every season and most phases bring a spike; Enders, looking at the Season 5 roadmap, called its two new maps on day one the kind of content he wished every season had. This table compares the daily peak on the day before each start with the start day itself, then the best day of its first week and the day two weeks in. All figures are SteamDB's daily peaks; the percentages are ours.
| Start | Day before | Start day | Change | Best of first week | Two weeks in |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Season 2, Feb 17, 2026 | 61,385 | 92,281 | +50% | 96,079 | 56,014 |
| Season 3, May 12, 2026 | 46,646 | 80,320 | +72% | 80,320 | 45,997 |
| Season 4, Jul 21, 2026 | 48,791 | 81,745 | +68% | 84,327 | 58,426 |
| Top Gun (Season 4 Phase 2), Aug 18, 2026 | 52,173 | 69,214 | +33% | 75,918 | 47,750 |
| Season 5, Oct 13, 2026 | 42,174 | 59,238 | +40% | 76,774 | 40,657 |
Two weeks after each season began, the daily peak was back near where it had been the day before, except after Season 4, which held about 20% higher; Naval Warfare and the Wake Island return were the biggest additions of any season (Season 4). The smaller phases moved less: Season 3's High-Value Target phase on Jun 30, 2026 rose 4% on its first day, and Season 4's Tidal Strike on Sep 15, 2026 3%.
Season 5's best day was not its first. Battlefield 6 joined Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on Oct 13, 2026, the day the season began, and a free trial ran from Oct 15 to Oct 19 (Price and Editions). The Steam peak climbed through that weekend to 76,774 on Oct 18, then fell to 36,765 by Oct 29, below where it stood the day before the season. Game Pass on PC runs through the Xbox app, not Steam, so new Game Pass players on PC do not show here at all.
What we think the count does next
We think the Casino Heist phase on Nov 10, 2026 lifts the daily Steam peak by a third or less, to somewhere between 50,000 and 60,000, smaller than a full season's spike, as the earlier mid-season phases were. We think the server browser, rolling out after Nov 10 and first promised for Dec 8 alongside Platoons, helps the long tail more than the spike: it gives players who want a fixed map rotation a reason to come back. And we expect the count to dip in late December as it did on Dec 24, 2025, then to rise again with the first season of 2027. Our dated calls on the player count and the game's future are on Predictions.
Vi.ki's analysis of the Steam counts
What follows is worked out by Vi.ki from Steam's own hourly count, which we record every hour, and is found nowhere else: the hour of the day and the day of the week people play, how many stayed after launch, the trend, the rank among the games Vi.ki charts, and our own outlook. It updates every hour.
Battlefield 6 had 40,395 players on Steam at the latest hourly reading (Nov 8, 2026 at 13:00 UTC), with a peak of 44,096 in the 24 hours before it. That is 5% of its all-time peak, and the best day of the last 30 reached 10% of it.
| Latest reading | 40,395 (Nov 8, 2026 at 13:00 UTC) |
|---|---|
| Peak, last 24 hours | 44,096 |
| All-time peak | 747,440 (on Oct 15, 2025) |
| Average daily peak, last 7 days | 38,644 (−9% on the week before) |
| Average daily peak, last 30 days | 47,685 (+18% on the 30 days before) |
When people play: the day of the week
Over the last eight weeks, the busiest day was Sunday, whose peak ran 20% above the week around it, and the quietest was Thursday, 12% below it. Weekend peaks averaged +25% against weekday peaks.
How many stayed after launch
Battlefield 6 opened with a best day of 747,440 players in its first two weeks; a month on, its daily peak averaged 359,790, so it kept 48% of its launch crowd and lost about 52% in its first month. Among the 15 launches Vi.ki charts from day one, the typical game kept 42% after a month; Battlefield 6 kept more than 8 of the other 14.
Against the best day of the first two weeks after Launch (Oct 10, 2025), 747,440 players, the average daily peak of the week around each mark:
| After | Daily peak | Of the launch peak |
|---|---|---|
| 7 days | 747,440 | 100% |
| 30 days | 359,790 | 48% |
| 90 days | 93,592 | 13% |
| 180 days | 45,060 | 6% |
| 1 year | 42,585 | 6% |
Among the games Vi.ki charts
By the peak of the last 24 hours, Battlefield 6 is #12 of the 24 games with a Steam chart on Vi.ki, just behind Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered (46,823) and ahead of Crimson Desert (35,965).
Our outlook
We think Battlefield 6 is cooling: over the last four weeks its daily peak fell 12% a week. Declines like this usually slow, so if nothing changes we expect daily peaks near 19,713 three months from now; the next big update is what would turn it. This is our projection of the trend, not a reported figure.
How this is made: Vi.ki records Steam's own count of people playing every hour (Steam's public player count) and holds SteamDB's measured chart before that. The hour and weekday patterns compare each hour with its own day, so a rising or falling month does not tilt them. Steam only: console and other stores are not counted. Updated every hour; this page may be up to a day behind.
Frequently asked questions
How many people play Battlefield 6 on Steam?
At 20:00 UTC on Nov 7, 2026, 43,714 people were playing Battlefield 6 on Steam, per SteamDB. The best hour of the week before was 47,247 on Nov 1, 2026.
What is Battlefield 6's all-time peak on Steam?
747,440 players at once, on launch day, Oct 10, 2025, per SteamDB. It is Electronic Arts' highest count on Steam.
Is Battlefield 6 dying?
Not in the last nine months. Its daily Steam peaks averaged 54,292 in Season 2 and 52,596 so far in Season 5, nearly level, though far below the 300,568 average of Nov 2025.
Does the Steam count include REDSEC?
We think so. REDSEC's achievements are part of Battlefield 6's Steam app, so Steam appears to count both together, and SteamDB cannot separate them.
Does the Steam count include PlayStation and Xbox players?
No. Steam counts only Steam. PS5, Xbox Series X|S, the EA app, the Epic Games Store and PC Game Pass players are not in it.
When did Battlefield 6 have the most players after launch?
On REDSEC's first weekend: 564,239 on Nov 2, 2025, the best daily peak SteamDB records after the launch month.
