Vehicles
As of Season 5 (Nov 8, 2026) Battlefield 6 has 17 vehicles across land, air and sea, from the Main Battle Tank and the Little Bird to the two-seat jets and the RCB-90 patrol boat, with the M142 MRAS artillery truck due Nov 10, 2026 and the B-81 Cavalry delayed to 2027. Which ones you get depends on the map and the mode.
Battlefield 6 has 17 vehicles as of Nov 8, 2026: eight on the ground, three helicopters, four jets and two boats, nearly all of them a NATO model and a Pax Armata model that mirror each other, according to EA's vehicles page (updated Jul 21, 2026) and the season notes since. Six arrived after launch: the golf cart, the AH-6 Little Bird, the dirt bike, both boats and both two-seat jets. The M142 MRAS artillery truck is next, on Nov 10, 2026. In the clip, Battlefield's own Season 4 deep dive shows all of it together on Tsuru Reef: tanks, IFVs, boats, jets and helicopters on one map.

We assembled this table from EA's vehicles page and the roadmaps of Season 1, Season 2 and Season 4; no single EA page lists every vehicle with its date. Each family has its own page: Tanks and Ground Vehicles, Helicopters, Jets and Naval Warfare and Boats. The aircraft carriers on Tsuru Reef and Wake Island are part of those maps, not vehicles you drive.
How vehicles spawn
You pick a free vehicle on the deploy screen, and a destroyed one comes back for its team after a cooldown. Which vehicles a match has depends on the map and the mode. Conquest on the big maps carries the most, the infantry-only maps (Empire State, Saints Quarter, Hagental Base and the coming European Casino) carry none, and Breakthrough sets its own list per sector: update 1.1.3.0 of Dec 2025 rebalanced Breakthrough vehicles on Mirak Valley, Liberation Peak, Operation Firestorm and Siege of Cairo, for example adding an attacking tank in Siege of Cairo's first and third sectors.
Several vehicles are also spawn points: your squad can deploy straight into a tank, an IFV, an Armored Transport, a Transport or Attack Helicopter, or an RCB-90 with its ramp down on a beach. "Hitch a Ride", from Battlefield 101, lets more soldiers cling to a vehicle than it has seats. The golf cart is the exception to all of this: it is found parked in a match, not spawned.
Keep count of the enemy's vehicles too. EclipseFPS's Aug 5, 2026 guide makes the point that knowing which vehicles the enemy has, and when a destroyed one is about to come off cooldown, tells you how far and how long you can push. More of his advice is on Tanks and Ground Vehicles.
Which maps have which vehicles
| Map | Vehicles (EA's map pages) |
|---|---|
| Mirak Valley | Every vehicle type |
| Operation Firestorm | Tanks, helicopters, jets |
| Liberation Peak | Jets, built for dogfights among rocky terrain |
| New Sobek City | Tanks, attack helicopters |
| Manhattan Bridge | Attack helicopters |
| Iberian Offensive | Heavy tanks |
| Siege of Cairo | Tanks against infantry |
| Blackwell Fields | Land vehicles and aircraft |
| Eastwood | Land vehicles and helicopters |
| Contaminated | Land vehicles and helicopters |
| Railway to Golmud | Large vehicle map with a moving train |
| Tsuru Reef | Boats, aircraft, carriers in Carrier Strike |

| Area 51 | Jets, helicopters, tanks, a dirt bike |
| Empire State, Saints Quarter, Hagental Base, Cairo Bazaar | Infantry only or close quarters |

Vehicle progression and customization
Every vehicle has its own Hardware XP, and its ranks unlock equipment, skins and camos; EA's progression page adds that sitting in a vehicle earns passive XP, and since update 1.2.3.0 vehicle XP also comes from active use. The Main Battle Tank and the Attack Helicopter take custom loadouts; the launch jets do not, which EA plans to change in Season 6. See Progression and Unlocks.
What a loadout changes is shown in Strider's Oct 18, 2025 vehicle guide: on the tank he picks high-explosive secondary shells against infantry, or aim-guided missiles on big maps because they hit helicopters hard, and the heavy machine gun over the light one for its damage and range.
Tips for every vehicle
Switch to third person. IGN's Oct 21, 2025 guide finds it easier to correct a helicopter's position when you see the whole airframe, and to keep an enemy jet in view in a dogfight; the same goes for a tank's blind sides.
Use free look. Holding it freezes your steering while you swing the camera, which leaves you exposed for a moment but finds lost targets and shows who is behind you. On a mouse, put it on a side button.
Leave before you burn. EclipseFPS pops smoke and backs off after two rockets in an IFV or three in a tank, and treats half health as the danger line. The full ground guide is on Tanks and Ground Vehicles, the flying on Jets and Helicopters.
How vehicle balance changed, patch by patch
No EA page collects these, so we did, from the official notes:
| Update | Date | Vehicle change |
|---|---|---|
| 1.1.3.0 | Dec 2025 | Breakthrough vehicle lists rebalanced on four maps |
| 1.1.3.5 | Jan 16, 2026 | Jet cannons need about 40% more hits on jets and helicopters |
| 1.2.2.0 | Mar 17, 2026 | UH-79 health +20%; slower guided missiles on IFV, tank and Attack Helicopter; 6 anti-tank mines per player |
| 1.2.3.0 | Apr 2026 | Attack Helicopter heavy rocket radius 7 m to 5.5 m; Scout rockets regenerate slower; vehicle XP from active use |
| 1.3.1.0 | May 12, 2026 | Armor overhaul: turret 75%, side 150%, rear 200%; tank health 1,200; slower but stronger self-repair |
| 1.3.2.0 | Jun 2026 | Attack Helicopter innate radar; Mobile AA gets high-velocity rockets and laser-guided missiles |
| 1.3.3.0 | Jun 30, 2026 | RPG-7V2 stronger against tanks; tank APFSDS weaker against tanks; IFV AP shells faster |
| 1.4.1.0 | Jul 21, 2026 | Boats arrive; bullets lose damage through water; no MBTs or IFVs in Ranked battle royale |
| 1.4.3.0 | Sep 15, 2026 | RCB-90 health 800 to 1,000; Little Bird minigun weaker against boats and transports |
| 2.1.1.0 | Oct 13, 2026 | Mobile AA damage nearly doubled; light rockets need far more hits on helicopters; tanks take 2.5x from straight behind |
Sources: EA's notes for 1.1.3.0, 1.1.3.5, 1.2.2.0, 1.2.3.0, 1.3.1.0, 1.3.2.0, 1.3.3.0, 1.4.1.0, 1.4.3.0 and 2.1.1.0.
Read in order, the year has a pattern: aircraft were reined in over the winter, ground armor was rebuilt in May, and Season 5 handed anti-air a big buff. On Oct 21, 2026 EA said the 2.1.1.0 vehicle changes are under review with "no quick knee-jerk adjustments".
Countering vehicles
EA's new player guide names the Engineer and the Recon as the anti-vehicle classes: the Engineer's launchers and mines do the damage, the Recon's Laser Designator and Tracer Dart speed up the locks, and hits on the side, rear, top or bottom do the most. The detail is on Engineer and Recon.
Where you hit matters most. Fallout Plays measured rocket damage by angle in Oct 2025 and found the sides and the lower rear of a tank take far more, before the Season 3 and Season 5 multipliers made the rear even weaker.
What is coming
The M142 MRAS, fast mobile artillery, arrives with Casino Heist on Nov 10, 2026. The B-81 Cavalry, announced for Frozen Aces on Dec 8, was delayed to 2027 with Platoons. Without dates, EA has promised new Scout and Attack Helicopter abilities, weapon customization for the launch jets in Season 6, and for 2027 "vehicle gameplay improvements" and a review of gadget and vehicle explosives (EA, Oct 1, 2026). See Roadmap and Season 6.
We think 17 vehicles is a thin roster for a Battlefield in its second year: every class of vehicle is there, but most have one model per side and no variants, where Battlefield 4 had several tanks and transports. We expect the 2027 roadmap to answer with variants (a second tank or a light tank, an amphibious transport for the naval maps) rather than with more vehicle types, and we think the B-81 Cavalry will be the first of them.
