Mirak Valley
Mirak Valley is the largest of Battlefield 6's launch maps, a war-torn valley in Tajikistan with every type of vehicle, trenches, a river and a construction site whose crane can be brought down. Since Season 5 it is also one of REDSEC's Rapid Royale maps.
Mirak Valley is the largest map Battlefield 6 launched with, "a massive war-torn landscape filled with every type of vehicle" in EA's words, set in Tajikistan. Its Conquest Combat Zone is River's Edge. OperatorDrewski's first look before launch (Sep 17, 2025) introduced it as a completely new map in the mountains of Tajikistan, and a relief after a beta whose maps many players found cramped. It has since been overtaken in size: EA calls Railway to Golmud four times the size of Mirak Valley (Apr 30, 2026).

Layout
The valley mixes open fields, a river, rolling hills and a network of trenches. In OperatorDrewski's run the trenches and "micro terrain" made it feel like a Battlefield 1 map, and he found it had the longest average engagement distances of any Battlefield 6 map he had played.
Xenoseth's map design breakdown (Jan 30, 2026) shows how symmetrical the five Conquest objectives are: two flags close to each headquarters at equal distances, two middle objectives so close "they could honestly be one", and a C point set further out that never becomes a true quiet zone.
The center is a construction site, and its tall building dominates the map. GravityBFTV (Feb 8, 2026) compared it to the cubes on Battlefield 2042's Spearhead. Two ziplines lead to the roof so others can contest it, but the scale and open sightlines make it easy to abuse with lock-on rockets and painting tools.
The crane
The construction crane can be brought down, the closest thing to Battlefield 4's Levolution among the launch maps. OperatorDrewski watched it fall and likened it to Siege of Shanghai's tower, with players soon crawling through the wreck.
GravityBFTV names it as the only Levolution-style event in Battlefield 6's launch multiplayer maps. EA's update 1.1.3.0 (Dec 5, 2025) fixed a bug where players were not credited for kills caused by the crane's destruction. See Destruction.
Vehicles
GravityBFTV thinks having every vehicle on Conquest works on Mirak Valley, though not the extra vehicles that spawn at "bonus" flags. He placed it, with Manhattan Bridge, between the cramped and the well-spaced maps: deployments that work, but would gain from more room. He also counts it, with Operation Firestorm and Liberation Peak, as one of only three launch maps with a decent air space for aircraft. See Jets, Helicopters and Tanks and Ground Vehicles.
Modes
- Conquest: the full River's Edge zone, every vehicle.
- Breakthrough: 64 players. Update 1.1.3.0 removed all defender vehicles, adjusted attacker vehicles in sectors 1 to 3 and enlarged capture areas "to make attacking easier".
- Rush: added in update 1.2.1.0 at the start of Season 2, Feb 17, 2026.
- REDSEC Rapid Royale: a 36-player battle royale for Trios and Solos, launched on Vegas Strip and Mirak Valley with Season 5 on Oct 13, 2026, with matches designed to last 10 to 13 minutes.
Breakthrough was the problem at launch. IGN's review (Oct 16, 2025) found Mirak Valley much like Liberation Peak there, with attackers having "too little cover in their push against a team of sharpshooters", which is what the Dec 2025 changes set out to fix.
Tips
Blitz. AltoidBricks' guide (Nov 29, 2025): capture A, then B, fast, and rotate along cover to the road to C, or ride the zipline to the top of B and parachute to D. Drop a spawn beacon on the roof, then attack. Run an SMG or shotgun, as Assault or Support.
Guard the lanes, not the flag. Every objective has two or three predictable approaches. Watch them from the rooftops and windows between B and D, the houses behind A, the houses around E, or the riverside at C.
Beacons at A and E. The map is big and crossing it takes a long time, so a hidden beacon behind A or around E can tie up the enemy for a whole round. The counter is a Recon drone. See Assault and Recon.
Take the top of B. It is "the most important place on the entire map": from it you can attack or defend every objective except E. Cross from B to D on the overhead cables, or parachute to the top of D, instead of running the road between them.
Never cross a field in a straight line. Use ridges, rocks, trees, trenches, the river or burning vehicles. Tanks, snipers and helicopters farm the open ground, and the Engineer is "king" on this map.
How it looks and where it fits
Digital Foundry's review (Oct 9, 2025) singled out Mirak Valley and Saints Quarter as the best-looking multiplayer maps, thanks to their foliage.
OperatorDrewski's verdict: a "classic-sized" big map, not too big like Battlefield 2042, where you can make "little mini stories" helping your team. Tajikistan is also where the campaign ends, in the missions Operation Ember Strike and Always Forward: see Campaign Missions.
What we think
We think Mirak Valley is the launch map that kept Battlefield 6's large-map players around until Railway to Golmud and Tsuru Reef arrived, and that it is still the best place to learn Jets, because its air space is wider than most. We expect Rapid Royale to give it a second life, and we think EA will add a limited-time twist on it before Season 5 ends (a night or weather variant, like Nightfall did for other maps), since EA says weather stays per map and comes through events.
Frequently asked questions
Is Mirak Valley the biggest map in Battlefield 6?
It was at launch. As of Nov 8, 2026 it is not: EA calls Railway to Golmud four times its size, and Tsuru Reef was announced as the largest Battlefield 6 map in Season 4. See Maps.
Can you destroy the crane on Mirak Valley?
Yes. The construction crane falls when destroyed, and kills caused by its fall have been credited to the player since update 1.1.3.0.
Can you play Rush on Mirak Valley?
Yes, since update 1.2.1.0 on Feb 17, 2026.
Is Mirak Valley in REDSEC?
Its terrain is used for REDSEC's Rapid Royale since Oct 13, 2026. The main battle royale map is Fort Lyndon.

It has seven Conquest points, a capturable train that now drives toward the enemy HQ, every vehicle type and the largest airspace in the game, and it was the most-played new map of 2026.

REDSECBattlefield REDSEC is Battlefield 6's free-to-play battle royale, out since Oct 28, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. As of Season 5 (Nov 8, 2026) it offers Battle Royale on Fort Lyndon, Ranked, Casual and Rapid Royale, and shares its progression and battle pass with Battlefield 6.
-
DestructionBattlefield 6 uses tactical destruction: most walls, light buildings and cover break in pre-scored chunks under explosives, vehicles, sledgehammers or sustained fire, while metal frames and many ground floors stay up. Season 5 added set-piece collapses such as the Vegas Strip dome and sign, the Area 51 control tower and, from Nov 10, 2026, European Casino's tower.
-
JetsBattlefield 6 has four jets as of Season 5 (Nov 8, 2026): the single-seat Attack Jet and Fighter Jet from launch, and the two-seat F/A-81F and F-74A Seacat added with Top Gun on Aug 18, 2026. Jet weapon customization for the launch jets is planned for Season 6.
-
HelicoptersBattlefield 6 has three helicopters as of Season 5 (Nov 8, 2026): the UH-79 Transport Helicopter and the M77E Falchion / Panthera KHT Attack Helicopter from launch, and the AH-6 Little Bird / MH-350 Scout Helicopter added on Feb 17, 2026. Update 2.1.1.0 made all three much harder to kill with light rockets.
